Tips for Making Physical Therapy a Success:

Melissa

Come early: It gives you time to get settled and even better, to get a little warmed up first. All of our patients will have self-mobility homework that they can start with before getting on the table.

Do your homework: 99% of the success you see is from your own hard work! Repetition and consistency in your homework will help you get the most out of our sessions, and then we can know how and when to progress you. Keep up the good work — we notice!

Take notes! Let us know how you felt after the last session, how your PT home exercises went, what’s going well, and what you’ve struggled with. Be honest.

Speak up: Remember there are no stupid questions: We are always happy to answer all your questions and clarify anything you might not understand (or that you just forgot!)

Commit to yourself: Pick an appointment time that works for you and stick to it. Consistency is key and you will get the most out of physical therapy if you’re on a schedule.
