The Reavy Method©
Release Your Restrictions
Release Your Restrictions
Too often, people accept what their bodies give them. An old injury becomes a permanent limitation. Restrictions become barriers. Aging means diminished performance. And the world has just accepted that this is the way it goes.
But we didn’t.
We started React Physical Therapy with the intention of changing what people believe is possible with their bodies. And we continue with that intention every day, in everything we do.
Today, React Physical Therapy operates five locations in the Chicago area – Deerfield, Chicago Lakeshore East, Lincoln Park, Chicago West Loop, and Wilmette. Our team of Physical Therapists serves everyone from professional athletes to business professionals, students to seniors, and people in recovery, and people leaping ahead.
Our team of physical therapists are trained in the Reavy Method©, a proprietary method developed by founder David Reavy. The Reavy Method© is a whole-body approach to physical therapy that addresses the cause, as well as the symptoms of pain, to balance the body and restore natural movement.
A diagnosis can begin to define who you are. You start to focus on your shortcomings and restrictions rather than your abilities. We take the focus off these limitations and guide you back to hope and the expectation that your body will once again be your ally in the activities you have always loved.
Rather than focus only on the site of the injury, we use the Reavy Method© – a whole-body approach to physical therapy developed by React founder David Reavy – to treat the cause and the symptoms of your pain.
“My goal as a physical therapist is to not only bring my patients back to the level of function they had previously known but to help them become more balanced and stronger than ever.”
Pain and injuries often come from imbalances, misalignment, or instability in the muscles, soft tissue, and bone throughout the body and not just at the site of pain. If your body isn’t treated as a whole, you run the risk of having the same injury again or worse. From your first session, we get to work releasing muscle restrictions and restoring natural movement. For you, the impact is immediate, and it lasts.
We work together to provide you multilayered treatment. Our physical therapists and massage therapists work as a complement to one another, and our support staff is with you every step of the way. Taking the time to get to know you ensures that our treatment will evolve as you get stronger. And when an injury is no longer a limitation, we can help you optimize your body’s function with the same high level of attention using our physical therapy-based Performance Therapy, Body Engineering™, and RMx™ training methods.
